"Rikashay’s impressively experimental, talented and original, creatively mixing pop, rock, ska, bits of folk, rockabilly, jazz, and other genres and influences into a series of tracks that you want to listen to again and again."
- Indie Rock Cafe
Rikashay is a constantly evolving, good-vibes indie rock band from Markham, Ontario. A patchwork of influences from oddball Beatle tracks to classic rock, jazz, and ska, pepper the band’s extensive catalog of singles and EPs stretching back to 2015. Each project is a new sonic exploration but through it all, a soft spot for pop music and a fierce yet playful DIY spirit nurture their exploits.
The band has taken their bright, eccentric sound to countless audiences at prestigious Toronto venues like The Horseshoe Tavern and The Mod Club, as well as stages throughout Eastern Canada, Quebec, and elsewhere in Ontario, showcasing their high energy, engaging live show.
Singer/guitarist Isaac Papineau, drummer Jaiden Crawford, bassist OG Bassman, and keyboardist Kerrick Pereira have joined forces alongside producer/engineer David Matta (Sloan, The Beaches) on their debut album, set for release this coming fall.
